Hyundai Motor India announced today that it has established a relief task force to assist its Cyclone Yaas-affected customers in the states of Odisha, West Bengal and Jharkhand.

The automaker is providing roadside assistance to Hyundai vehicles damaged by Zyklon Yaas free of charge. In addition, it offers a 50 percent discount on the depreciation amount of insurance claims for flood-prone vehicles.

“Inspired by our global vision – ‘Progress for Humanity’, we are committed to making efforts to improve societies and communities. In addition, as a responsible and caring brand, we take responsibility for the development of our customers’ vehicle ownership by aiming to provide the best service support at all times, “said Tarun Garg, Sales, Marketing and Service Director of Hyundai Motor India.

“Cyclone Yaas once again put the resilience of Indian citizens to the test. Our support teams will endeavor to ensure uninterrupted mobility for customers affected by this cyclone in Odisha, West Bengal and Jharkhand and thus offer them ‘Peace of Mind’ during this difficult time. ” he added.

Earlier this month, the automaker formed a similar relief task force to assist Zyklon Tauktae-affected customers in Gujarat, Goa and parts of Maharashtra and Rajasthan.

Hyundai Motor India has already extended the vehicle warranty and free service by two months for customers who cannot take advantage of these benefits due to the lockdown of their cities in the wake of the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.
