Around a million UK homes have solar panels and the rate at which they are being installed is increasing.

Solar Energy UK, the industry body, said there were 7,113 installations in November last year, down from 5,611 in October – an increase of 27 per cent. This is partly due to the energy crisis, but also due to the change in behavior caused by the pandemic – now people are more at home, looking for improvements and cutting their bills.
